Six for Sunday: May 6th 2018

This weeks S4S prompt is Questions You Have For Authors:

  • How many ideas do you come up with before finding one you want to run with?
  • How long on average does it take you to complete writing a book?
  • Is there any single experience that happened to you that made you know for sure that writing books is what you want to do?
  • What inspired you to write the genre that you do?
  • What’s the hardest thing about writing a book (aside from trying to complete it)?
  • What’s your favourite thing about being an author?

I hope you’ve all had an amazing week, and if any authors fancy answering these questions – be my guest! :p

  1. Hiiii! Indie author here to answer your questions in a way that I hope isn’t really pretentious or pompous!!

How many ideas do you come up with before finding one you want to run with? – Too many it’s ridiculous.

How long on average does it take you to complete writing a book? Im co writing my debut so that takes a little longer! Drafting? Six months?

Is there any single experience that happened to you that made you know for sure that writing books is what you want to do? I saw Katherine Webber talk at an event and i saw how she just…glowed and I thought “I could do this.” and I never looked back.

What inspired you to write the genre that you do? I read YA Contemporary so it made sense to write it.

What’s the hardest thing about writing a book (aside from trying to complete it)? The self doubt. For sure. It kills me.

What’s your favourite thing about being an author? I finally feel like I’ve found my purpose
